South Lincoln’s answer for retirement living begins at Yankee Hill Village where we provide an array of senior living options including independent living, assisted living and memory support.
Independent living, also called 55+ living or retirement living, are apartments where no health care support is provided. The benefit of independent living for seniors is the added amenities that a community can provide, like maintenance-free living, planned social opportunities, onsite wellness facility, and neighbors in your season of life.
Assisted living apartments look much like independent living. They have bedrooms, living rooms and private bathrooms. But residents of assisted living have the added benefit of additional health care support for what is sometimes called activities of daily living (mobility, bathing, dressing, managing medications, etc.).
Our expertly designed memory care programs support individuals suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. Our program leaders are certified dementia care experts whose compassionate approach creates the best possible environment for residents and the greatest peace of mind for families. This program engages with family members through a convenient app, allowing the best communication possible between staff and family.
The choice of retirement living is not one you’ll make often in your life. And the terminology can be confusing. We’re here to help. If you’re unsure which support level best fits you or your loved one, reach out to one of our senior living experts for a full, free consultation.
